I am an investor living across country. I needed an honest, refutable contractor to completely redo the front porch of my investment home on Flora Ave. I went with the reputation of Mammoth Carpentry. Mammoth Carpentry has been doing wonders for other homes in this community, including my father's. Neil took my ideas and improved on them and carried out the details beyond my expectations. I recently contracted with Mammoth Carpentry for a complete trim package for my renovated 1930's house, including crown mould, base mould and shoe mould in every room, (including 5 large rooms with 9'+ ceilings), window and door casings. They also hung all my interior and exterior doors. This was not an easy job as with very old homes, none of the walls or floors are level or square. There were no surprise unquoted costs, minimal waste of material and the job was completed in the discussed timeframe. Company employees were polite and professional. More importantly, Mammoth Carpentry provided sound advice and consultation on how best to tackle the inherent flaws in my old house. Faced with a job transfer we had to sell our house quickly, but there were some additions that needed to be made to our home. Neil came & gave us great ideas on repairs as well as updates that would make our home more marketable. Our kitchen was lacking an oven & Neil and his crew designed & built a custom stainless-steel cabinet that makes the kitchen a showroom. The changes from the cabinet as well as numerous other details such as stainless steel walls, recessed lighting & a foot bar for the breakfast counter really impressed us and guests we've had in the house. Our otherwise luxury bathroom was lacking style which Neil enhanced with oak cabinetry & trim work. An impressive difference! Neil and his crew have such an eye for detail they are more artisans than carpenters.
